This painting reflects a time of great loss for a man named Aionwatha. Misery and sadness overtook all aspects of his life. Another man, referred to as the Peacemaker, offers condolences through wampum strings. Lifting away the grief and sorrow, wiping away the tears, peace was restored to his life. Together they collaborated a message of peace to all who would listen.

Utilizing a palette knife as well as brushes, Dave’s work is a dedication to grandfather, Ray Tehanetorens Fadden. Grandpas name, Tehanetorens, means literally “he splits the pitch”, meaning “he peers through the trees”.
